FLORIDA CRIMINAL JUSTICE EDUCATORS' ASSOCIATION Committee Information Updated November 2007
CURRICULUM AND ARTICULATION COMMITTEE This committee is charged with the functions of their former, separate committees. The committee will periodically review, monitor and recommend revisions relating to criminal justice program curricula. Further this committee shall review articulation issues on an on-going basis and make appropriate recommendations to the full membership as well as act as liaison for the association with relevant state committees to insure that interests of the Association are represented.

FUTURES COMMITTEE It is the mission of the Futures Committee to create standards, promote training and educational developments, set and implement standards that meet the future needs of public safety professionals, and to share resources and curricula frameworks.

RULES COMMITTEE The function of the rules committee shall be to review rules and regulations of the CJSTC, DOE, and other state or regional agencies which may affect the conduct and/or content of criminal justice education in the State of Florida, and to provide input and consultation to the rule making body as required.

STEERING COMMITTEE The steering committee is composed of regional directors who are responsible for maintaining awareness of on-going work of the educational entities as well as monitoring actions of other Association committees in order to make useful recommendations to the Chair and the membership regarding long range planning and the development of criminal justice education all over the state. If requested, this committee can serve as a coordinating or support group for all Association activities.
MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE The Membership Committee will maintain and review current membership in the Association. Additional responsibilities include recruitment, membership development, and promotion of the Association. The Membership Committee will provide for the promotion of college criminal justice education in the state of Florida.
